What do you get when you try to put together 15 years’ worth of images of butterflies, caterpillar, host plants into one print? Well, you get a big mess. Thanks to my daughter’s artistic eyes and my wife’s logical thinking who offered me unbiased assistance, I was able to put together my best 85 images in this mosaic.
This image of a monarch caterpillar feeding on swamp milkweed was featured on October/November 2022 issue of National Wildlife magazine.
This image is one of my all-time favorite and my introduction to the prairie. The image won several national/international awards, including Grand Prize for National Wildlife Federation Photo Contest, Picture of the Year International, and National Press Photo Contest.
