Description: Three-day festival events to observe and get close to prairie chickens.
Noppadol Paothong will be a keynote speaker, speaking about his journey to document these birds. He will also take people to the prairie and talk about how to photograph prairie chickens.
Get close to nature and observe wildlife, observe the wide variety of birds that make the grasslands their home. Particularly the Greater Prairie Chicken. Observe it’s unique courtship dance and resonant boom.
There are six locations in four different Wisconsin counties featured during the festival. However, travel distance between them is relatively short. A wide variety of daytime and evening events for all ages will be taking place at the sites.
